The Renaissance Hotel in Huichuan Lu (next to 龙之梦 Lóngzhīmèng, Zhōngshān Gōngyuán  中山公园, Shanghai) is my favorite „going out“ spot. Apart from its good looking style (minimalist and fresh), it also has two decent restaurants, Azur and Celadon, and a very elegant bar. The Azur restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine, a mix of Italian, Greek and Spanish dishes (and also pizza, as it has a wood-fire oven). Celadon serves Vietnamese, Malaysian and Thai specialisties. I would recommend this place to all of them who want to avoid the stress of the city center (a good alternative to Three on the Bund) and want to relax with a usually good selected music, professional staff and a very nice view on the Changning district.

****Recommendation: For all who loves fish, try the weekend brunch. It has a great selection of different fish types and crustacean. Price: 250RMB, which inlcudes all the beverages (fresh fruits).
