阴阳 yīnyáng and the theory of opposites

阴阳 yīnyáng expresses the essence of the Chinese world view in which the opposites are complementary and interconnected and part of the same whole. In the western philosophy we also have a similar representation as we say „two faces of the same medal“ but as the faces remain separated I think that the Chinese image gives a more mature and advanced representation. This will surely remain the most important learning of my Chinese staying and for this progress in thinking I would like to thank you my Chinese language teachers for enlighten conversations and discussions.
